Thanks for your interest in the Alberta Party's Bold Ideas public engagement process. Visit albertaparty.ca to find out more about what the whole process is about. This survey should take about 5 - 10 minutes to complete, and we really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. It includes 5 open-ended questions and a few demographic questions at the end.
Round 1 is about funding Alberta's future. We want to know how you think a government focused on its finances should conduct its business to build a financially secure Alberta.
To get us started, what do you think makes a fiscally responsible government? How do you know that a government is being responsible with our money?
Great! Next, we'd like to know what you think are the qualities of a financially secure Alberta? How will we know that the government can pay its bills now and in the future?
So you're a person who has learned things and done stuff.
Based on what you know and what you've done, what do you think are different ways that the Alberta government could make money? Are there other appropriate ways the government could generate income for Alberta and why?
We know that Albertans are busy, hardworking people and don't always have time to learn a ton about where and how the government makes and spends its money.
What information do you think Albertans need to have an informed conversation about Alberta's fiscal future?
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about how we can do a better job of generating more money to fund the important things for Albertans.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about how a financially responsible government could create different revenue streams for a financially secure Alberta?
In March, we'll consider all the ideas about funding our future that came from this survey as well as those ideas that have come from our many other conversations with Albertans.
After that, we'll share the key themes that came out of this process and ask Albertans to tell us which ideas most align with a centrist political position. Keep an eye on albertaparty.ca, follow us on Twitter @AlbertaParty or Like us on Facebook to find out more.
If you'd like to continue to be part of this process (and we hope you do!), please share your email address. You'll receive a summary of the key themes and an invitation to rank the themes against centrist values.
